SILVER LAKE — A trio from Illinois was arrested by Silver Lake Police following a tip of an independent contractor dealing cocaine, pills and heroin while working at a local business.
Christopher Dale Lamb, 55, 923 N. 10th St., Springfield, Ill., Michael Allen Moriarity, 28, 604 Sheridan Drive, Loves Park, Ill., were arrested on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 28 and Gabrielle Ondrea Laffery, 20, 1304 N. Johnston, Rockford, Ill., was arrested Friday afternoon, Oct. 30.
Lamb has been initially charged with dealing in cocaine, more than 10 grams, a level 2 felony; possession of cocaine, a level 4 felony; and possession of marijuana, a class b misdemeanor.
Moriarity has been preliminarily charged with aiding, inducing or causing dealing in cocaine more than 10 grams, a level 2 felony; ; possession of cocaine, a level 4 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
Laffery has preliminarily been charged with possession of cocaine, a level 4 felony.
Police were informed where Lamb was living in the area and that an individual by the name of Michael was also living at the residence. A large amount of cocaine, heroin and pills had been seen at the residence and a description of the vehicle being driven by Lamb was given to police.
Silver Lake Police Officer Jason McGlennen was at McClure Gas Station on SR 15, around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, and saw the vehicle northbound on SR 15. It did not have a working license plate light and pulled into ParKan Industries. McGlennen pulled in behind the vehicle.

In court documents he states he saw a male passenger and the driver changing seats inside the vehicle. Moriarity was identified as the individual in the driver seat and Laffery was the front seat passenger. Lamb was a back seat passenger. The officer believes Lamb was the driver when he observed the vehicle northbound on SR 15. While police were present, Lamb began to dig through the inside of the vehicle, telling police he is looking for a hoodie.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Officer Travis Shively was called to the scene with his K-9 partner to conduct an outer air search. The dog alerted on the vehicle.
In the hoodie police found a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance, testing positive for cocaine and weighting 16.4 grams. Inside the vehicle, officers found two partially smoked marijuana cigarettes. In a suitcase a prescription pill bottle with a green leafy substance inside containing Moriarity’s name. The green leafy substance, identified as marijuana, weighed less than 30 grams. Also found, in a video game case, was a syringe and court paper for Moriarity. A plastic bag was also found containing two syringes, digital scales, a pill bottle with suboxone film, suboxone pills and several other pills. In the possession of Moriarity, police found $4,270 in cash.
Inside a purse belonging to Laffery police found a prescription pill bottle with no name containing various pills.

During questioning by police, needle marks were observed on both arms of Moriarity. He admitted to police the cocaine belonged to Lamb and it was Lamb who dealt the cocaine to individuals at an area business. Moriarity also stated he deals marijuana and uses the syringes found in the vehicle to inject heroin and that Laffery knew the cocaine was in the vehicle.
Police were advised that Lamb had picked up Moriarity and Laffery in Illinois and on the way to Indiana Lamb had picked up the cocaine.
Lamb was held on $5,000 surety and $250 cash bond. Moriarity was held on $600 cash bond and Laffery was held on $15,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
