Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, June 16, at 11 p.m. West 300 South and South SR 15, Warsaw. Driver: Ricky J. Stewart, 51, South 450 West, Claypool. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Monday, June 16, 1:09 p.m. SR 19 and West 1350 North, Nappanee. Drivers: Earl L. Helm, 47, Deer Run, Warsaw; and Christopher A. Osborn, 44, U.S. Highway 6, Milford. Helm was distracted for a second and did not realize Osborn’s vehicle had stopped. Damages: up to $2,500
Monday, June 16, 5:57 a.m. North Higbee and West Fourth streets, Milford. Drivers: Matthew R. Stewart, 20, Tippecanoe Drive, Warsaw; and Elena Lopez, 58, North Old SR 15, Warsaw. Stewart was distracted and failed to see Lopez’s vehicle stopped in front of him. Damages: up to $5,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Monday, June 16, 9:33 a.m. East Market and South Indiana streets. Drivers: Deanna L. Love, 61, East SR 114, Akron; and Teresa J. Rhoades, 55, West 200 South, Columbia City. Love was eastbound on Market Street looking at statues and a climbing wall at a church and ran a red light, colliding with Rhoades’ vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
