Officers of the North Webster Police Department investigated the following:
Accidents:
Saturday, March 15, 7:42 a.m. East 500N, 7:42 a.m. A vehicle driven by Stephanie Bonilla, North Highland Lane, Leesburg, hit ice on the roadway causing the vehicle to spin off the roadway and hit a NIPSCO pole.
Wednesday, March 12, 5 p.m. SR 13 at Armstrong Road. Drivers: Justin B. Fowler, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton; and Kyle S. Herendeen, South Blaine Street, North Webster, collided. A third car may have been involved. The southbound traffic light was partially covered with snow and ice. The other lights were visible.
Wednesday, March 12, 8:10 a.m. Backwater Road. Driver: Travis D. Mickem, EMS W17 Lane, North Webster. Mickem tried to stop to help another vehicle that hit a guardrail. His vehicle then hit the guardrail.
Wednesday, March 12, 7:14 a.m. Backwater Road. Driver: Marcelino I. DelaCruz, Pierceton. DelaCruz’s vehicle slid on snow and ice and spun on the roadway. It slid off the road and rolled onto the passenger side. Driver exited with the help of a passer by.

Thursday, March 13, 8:01 p.m. East South Street. A vehicle was stopped for no registration plate. The driver was found to never have had a driver’s license. No further information given.
Tuesday, March 11, 8:15 a.m. North Main Street. A driver was traveling southbound and struck a bicyclist crossing the road. The stricken bicyclist fled the scene and the bicycle was found to be stolen.
