Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, June 3, 9:23 a.m. Lake City Highway and South Circle Drive East, Warsaw. Drivers: Leonard Adams, 53, East Harrison Street, Claypool; and Sergio Melendes Munoz Inc., 23, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Adams was southbound from an access road to Lake City Highway and pulled in front of Munoz, resulting in an accident. Adams sustained a bump to the head. Damages: up to $10,000
Monday, June 3, 10:47 a.m. 3605 Commerce Dr., Warsaw. Drivers: Audrey A. Minnix, 69, South Old SR 13, Pierceton; and Larry D. Schaumleffel, 71, Spruce Street, Port Charlotte, Fla. Minnix was backing from a parking space and unable to see around another parked vehicle. She pulled into the path of the Schaumleffel vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Monday, June 3, 5:09 p.m. East Center and South Indiana streets. Drivers: Rachelle Rodenbeck, 21, North 100 West, Ossian; and Ashley A. King, 28, Sharon Street, Warsaw. Both Rodenbeck and King were eastbound on Center Street when a vehicle in front of Rodenbeck was making a left turn. Rodenbeck stopped abruptly and King rear-ended her vehicle. King was driving on a suspended license and arrested. Damages: up to $5,000
Monday, June 3, 10:13 p.m. East Center and South Johnson streets. Drivers: Jeffrey A. Huff, 51, Summit Drive, Columbia City; and James T. Bergan, 61, Sagimore Court, Fort Wayne. Both drivers were eastbound on Center Street. Huff said he looked away for a second and that’s when traffic stopped. He rear-ended Bergan’s vehicle. Damages: up to $25,000

Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, June 3, 9:21 a.m. U.S. 30 West and North 500 West, Atwood. Driver: Jay A. Wilhelm, 48, Sand Pines Court, Fort Wayne. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $25,000
Monday, June 3, 1:29 p.m. West 100 North and West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Paulette C. Kanode, 68, West 100 North, Warsaw; and Augustin W. Mazura, 24, East 800 South-43, South Whitley. Kanode was eastbound on West 100 North when Mazura’s semi truck entered a curve at the same time. Kanode said she hugged the shoulder to get out of the way but still struck the left trailer tire. Damages: less than $1,000
Monday, June 3, 8:03 p.m. West 125 North and North 1000 West, Etna Green. Driver: David W. McConnell, 16, East High Street, Etna Green. Driver was westbound on CR 125 North approaching North 1000 West when he tried to down shift and lost control of the truck, causing him to run off of the road and strike a telephone box and a tree. Damages: up to $5,000
