Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:05 a.m. Friday, July 15, East Old Road 30 west of North SR 13, Pierceton. Driver: Charles F. Parr, 54, EMS B60 Lane, Warsaw. Parr’s vehicle collided with a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:27 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, SR 13N and East CR 800N, North Webster. Drivers: Roger J. Fitzpatrick, 16, Miami Drive, Warsaw, and Thomas F. Zordan, 52, Crystal Circle, Crystal Lake, Ill. Fitzpatrick’s vehicle rear-ended Zordan’s vehicle. A passenger in Zordan’s vehicle, Keenan T. Zordan, 21, Crystal Circle, Crystal Lake, Ill., was transported to the hospital with complaints of back pain. Damage up to $10,000.
7:27 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, West Cr 1350N and North CR 500W, Nappanee. Drivers: John E. Wright, 23, Woodies Lane, Bremen, and Alma Hershberger, 34, Slough Road, Sarasota, Fla. Wright did not stop for the stop sign and his vehicle collided with Hershberger’s. There was heavy fog at the time of the accident. A nearby witness confirmed the account. Hershberger was transported to the hospital with complaints of neck pain. A minor passenger, age 5, in Hershberger’s vehicle was transported to the hospital with complaints of head pain. Damage up to $50,000.
8:55 p.m. Friday, July 8, West Old Road 30 east of North CR 520W, Warsaw. Drivers: Daniel S. Faris, 61, West Eighth Street, Rochester, and Dustin A. Thompson, 30, Tanglewod Aly, Huntington. Faris’s semi rear-ended Thompson’s moped, throwing Thompson and a passenger to the ground. Thompson’s passenger, Latanna Thompson, 61, Tanglewood Aly, Huntington, was transported via Samaritan Air to South Bend Memorial Hospital with injuries to the head and legs. Thompson was taken via ambulance to Parkview Hospital, Warsaw, with injuries to the head. Both drivers consented to chemical tests. Results are pending. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:49 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, East Susanna Lane and East Wesley Lane, North Webster. Driver: Nance L. Snavely, 61, East Wesley Lane, North Webster. While Snavely was turning her vehicle, it ran up a ramp attached to a parked trailer. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
2:23 p.m. Friday, July 15, North Detroit Street south of West CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Janet M. Jones, 37, West CR 680S, Topeka, and Ronald L. Boyer, 71, EMS T13 Lane, Leesburg.
2:22 p.m. Friday, July 15, South Detroit Street north of East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Samuel M. Heffelfinger, 19, West Park Street, Columbia City, and Deann P. Gibson, 22, West Main Street, Wabash. Heffelfinger’s vehicle rear-ended Gibson’s. Damage up to $2,500.
