Joshua Ryan Auer
MILFORD — Milford man charged with multiple counts of battery.
Joshua Ryan Auer, 22, 212 W. First St., Milford, is being charged with domestic battery, a level 6 felony; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; residential entry, a level 6 felony and battery with moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony.
On July 12, an officer with the Milford police department responded to a domestic disturbance at Auer’s residence. When the officer arrived he talked to a woman who had scratches and contusions on her face and neck, and to her neighbor, who complained of pain to his right hand and stomach.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, the woman reported she and Auer were in an argument when he grabbed her shirt in an aggressive manner and pushed her up against the residence. She attempted to go inside, but Auer grabbed her by the hair, pulling her around and hitting her.
The woman went to the neighbor’s residence to call 911. Auer followed her over and forced his way into the residence without permission or consent and punched the neighbor three or four times in the face.
The neighbor was taken to the hospital for medical attention and the officer found out that medical personnel believed the neighbor had two fractures to his hand and has a soft cast attached.
The woman told the officer her children were present at the time and witnessed the battery.
