PLYMOUTH — Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in a stolen vehicle case.
Officer Sgt. Nicholas Laffoon of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department witnessed a vehicle speeding and driving erratically on US 30 at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27. When Laffoon attempted a traffic stop the driver sped away, fleeing the officer and driving through the intersection of Lincoln Highway and King Road, crossing the railroad tracks. The vehicle came to a sudden stop on King Road, just south of 10th Road. The driver darted from the car and fled on foot.
The driver darted behind several residences in that area, and eluded police.
During Laffoon’s initial investigation it was found the vehicle had been stolen from a Bremen residence a short time before. The alleged suspect is said to be approximately 5-foot, 8 inches with a medium build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
