Officers with the Kosciusko County Department investigated the following accidents:
6:51 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, East CR 400S, west of South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Brant K. Campbell, 21, South Maple Street, Pierceton. Campbell fell asleep while driving. His vehicle went off the road, went through a yard, back onto the roadway, going off the road a second time hitting a fence and tree line. Campbell admitting to operating the vehicle without any type of financial responsibility. He also suffered a small laceration to his face, but refused any medical attention. Damage up to $10,000.
8:38 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, East Wooster Road, west of Joshua Drive, Winona Lake. Driver: Donna J. Kunkle, 50, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Kunkle drove too close to the edge of the roadway causing the vehicle to go into a steep/deep ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
7:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, South SR 13, north of East CR 125S, Pierceton. Driver: Wesley J. King, 34, Baldwin Prairie Road North, Union, Mich. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
7:25 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25, CR 250E, north of US 30, Warsaw. Jill E. Needler Yagel,26, West Tulip Street, Pierceton. Deer ran into her vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
5:33 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25, East CR 700S, west of South Packerton Road, Claypool. Driver: Elmer A. Schwartz, 61, East CR 225S, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
6:16 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, East CR 350N, west of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Driver: Arturo S. Rangel, 63, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, West CR 400N, west of North CR 700W, Etna Green. Driver: Chelsey R. Sandlin, 24, North CR 400W, Leesburg. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
1 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, East Old Road 30 and North CR 650E, Pierceton. Driver: Lynnae B. Miller, 29, Western Drive, Winona Lake. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
9:46 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, South SR 15, south of Short Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Justin C. Peters, 23, South Edgewater Street, Silver Lake. Peters’ vehicle hit something in the roadway causing him to go off the road, hitting a speed limit sign and coming to rest on an embankment. Damage up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25, North SR 13, south of East CR 900N, North Webster. Driver: Sherylyn D. Obacz, 57, Madison Street, North Webster. Deer leaped into the roadway hitting her driver’s side door. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:24 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, North Detroit Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Kim J. Long, 45, Alpine Springs Drive, Vernon Hills, Ill., and Dylan S. Warren, 18, South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Long was northbound on Detroit Street, wanting to go west onto US 30 and thought he had a green turn arrow and made a left turn hitting the Warren vehicle. Warren was southbound on Detroit Street. Injured were passengers in the Long vehicle: Anna Long, 12, who complained of pain to the abdomen/pelvic area; Heather Long, 45, Alpine Springs Drive, Vernon Hills., Ill., and Elizabeth Long, 15, both complaining of pain to the entire body. They were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
7:26 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Tyler C. McNall, 17, North SR 13, North Manchester, and Susan K. Conley, 67, North Westerner Winds Drive, Warsaw. McNall was cutting through the parking lot to change aisles, failing to see the Conley vehicle, hitting the driver’s side door. Damage up to $10,000.
6:01 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, Hepler Drive and Green Hill Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Sam Dorrough, 66, Dausha Court, Warsaw. Dorrough veered to the right to avoid hitting a vehicle crowding his lane of travel hitting the back of a parked vehicle registered to Catherine S. Graber, North Deer Run, Warsaw. Damage up to $25,000.
