NOBLE COUNTY — Noble County Sheriff’s Department apprehended an individual following a report of a burglary in progress at a business in Kendallville. The suspect was taken to the Noble County Jail with no bond. Formal charges are pending.
Police are verifying the identity of the suspect.
Noble County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call regarding a burglary in progress at 7:56 a.m. today, Dec. 19. The caller stated he arrived at his business, Sawal Auto Sales, at 1985 W. North St., Kendallville, and confronted an individual inside the business. The suspect pulled a handgun on the owner and fled the scene in a vehicle.
A short time later Kendallville Police spotted the suspect vehicle and a pursuit took place. The suspect crashed his vehicle in the East Industrial Park, Kendallville and fled on foot. A short time later he was apprehended by police. No injuries to the victim, suspect or law enforcement were reported.
