Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
4:07 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, East Koher Road South north of North Oakeechie Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Michelle R. Lucas, 42, South Woodland Lane, Warsaw. Lucas swerved to miss a deer and collided with a tree. Damage up to $10,000.
1:44 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, West Lake Street and North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Logan P. Elliott, 19, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Elliott lost control in the roundabout and hit the curb. Damage up to $5,000.
11:27 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, West CR 300S west of South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Jade N. Betancourt, 25, East CR 1000N, Roanoke. Hit utility pole. Damage up to $2,500.
10:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, South SR 25 south of West CR 250S, Warsaw. Drivers: Allie A. Thompson, 17, West CR 400N, Warsaw, and Deborah D. Utter, 61, Franklin Street, Rochester. Thompson lost control on the wet road and her vehicle slid into Utter’s. Damage up to $5,000.
8:04 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, East Pierceton Road west of South CR 500E, Pierceton. Driver: Audrey E. Montague, 48, West Elm Street, Pierceton. Montague’s vehicle left the roadway, went sideways and rolled into a tree, pinning Montague inside the car. She was airlifted to Fort Wayne Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
3:11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, North Syracuse-Webster Road north of North CR 620E, North Webster. Driver: Danielle J. Gunkel, 17, EMS W29 Lane, North Webster. Gunkel lost control of her vehicle and it slid into a mailbox, power pole and some small trees before hitting a nearby house. Damage up to $25,000.
9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, East Pierceton Road west of South CR 500E, Pierceton. Driver: Susan L. Small, 58, South CR 350E. Warsaw. Hit raccoon. Damage up to $2,500.
7:22 a.m Friday, Dec. 11, South SR 25 south of CR 200S, Warsaw. Driver: Patricia A. Lewis, 72, South SR 25, Mentone. Hit deer. Lewis complained of back pain but declined medical treatment at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:44 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 109 N. Huntington St., Syracuse. Driver: Hannah M. Jarvis, 17, SR 13, Middlebury. Hit parked car. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:32 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, Detroit Street and West CR 250N, Warsaw. Drivers: Roberta K. Bass, 53, North CR 175E, Peru, and Rhya E. Walters, 35, West CR 300N, Etna Green. Bass’s vehicle rear-ended Walters’ vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
