Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, Dec. 16, 5:00 a.m. SR 13 near 800 North, North Webster. Driver: Andy R. Collins, 36, Crystal Flash Road 7, North Webster. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Dec. 22, 10:57 p.m. 700 South near 600 West, Claypool. Driver: Mark C. Sill, 50, 1000 South, Akron. Sill hit a patch of ice and lost control of his vehicle and rolled it. Sill and Lora Sill were transported to KCH for injuries. Two other passengers involved but did not need to be taken to a hospital. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Dec. 22, 9:39 p.m. 225 East near 75 North, Warsaw. Drivers: Spencer A. Slabaugh, 19, 600 North, Leesburg; and Christopher O. Solorzano, 16, 75 North, Warsaw. Solorzano turned in front of Slabaugh who was unable to avoid a collision. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Dec. 22, 1:51 p.m. U.S. 30 near SR 19, Warsaw. Drivers: Mason W. Rowdon, 22, Cedar Hill Court, South Bend; and Mark Ulch, 38, SR 18, Sherwood, Ohio. Rowdon rear-ended Ulch while trying to avoid a collision. Rowdon was treated by medics at the scene for lacerations to his face. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Dec. 22, 12:17 p.m. 700 block of Mock Road, Milford. Driver: Dianna L. Biesemeyer, 24, Mock Road, Milford. Biesemeyer backed into a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Sunday, Dec. 22, 1:55 a.m. Old Road 30 near 525 West, Warsaw. Driver: Larry C. Buckholz, 56, Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Dec. 21, 3:18 a.m. U.S. 30 near 200 South, Pierceton. Driver: Jeremy R. Grant, 28, Walnut Ridge Lane, Valparasio. A deer ran in front of Grant, who jerked the steering wheel causing his semi-trailer to run off the roadway and flip. Granted checked for injuries and released by Medic 9 at the scene. Damages: over $100,000
Friday, Dec. 20, 10:35 p.m. 700 West near 550 North, Etna Green. Driver: Yvonne D. Cook, 45, Lovetts Court, Warsaw. Cook drove off the roadway, through a field and collided with a tree. Cook was given a breathalyzer which determined her BAC was .29 at the time of the accident. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Dec. 20, 4:02 p.m. Amanda Drive near 900 South, Warsaw. Driver: Roger D. Gallaway, 27, Grant Street, La Fontaine. Gallaway lost control of his vehicle on an icy road, slid off the road and hit a tree. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Dec. 20, 4:35 a.m. 900 North near 800 West, Nappanee. Driver: Kevin L. Damron, 39, High Street, Etna Green. Damron lost control of his vehicle, slid off the road way and struck a utility pole. Damages: up to $5,000

Officers of the Silver Lake Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Friday, Dec. 20, 12:19 a.m. 1200 South near 100 East, Silver Lake. Driver: Jack N. Baker, 67, 1200 South, Silver Lake. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Syracuse Police Department
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, Dec. 23, 3:13 a.m. 775 East near 1300 North, Syracuse. Driver: Camron L. Erb, 21, Goldilocks Lane, Cromwell. Erb slid on ice and ran off the road hitting a NIPSCO pole and fence. It was determined that alcohol was a factor in the accident, and Erb was given a breathalyzer test and cited for OWI. Damages: up to $10,000
Friday, Dec. 20, 5:26 p.m. Indiana Avenue near Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Christina M. Beaupain, 21, Meadow View Drive, Syracuse. Beaupain drove off the road in an attempt to take her own life. Alcohol was determined to be involved in the accident. She was transported to KCH where blood and urine tests for alcohol were administered. Results still pending. Damages: less than $750
Friday, Dec. 20, 6:42 a.m. 300 block of Boston Street, Syracuse. Driver Dustin P. Ward, 27, Boston Street, Syracuse. Ward backed into a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500

Saturday, Dec. 14, 11:30 p.m. 300 block of Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael J. Williams, 32, Long Drive, Syracuse; and Crystal L. White, 51, 300 South, Warsaw. Williams backed into White. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Dec. 22, 6:08 a.m. Lake City Highway near Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Sara. E. Weber, 28, Ken Way Drive, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Dec. 21, 4:08 p.m. Winona Avenue near Union Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dixie A. Breading, 70, Kincaide Street, Warsaw; and Nain Rios-Miranda, 28, Old Road 30, Warsaw. Breading entered the intersection causing a collision with Rios-Miranda. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Dec. 20, 5:29 p.m. Detroit Street near 300 North, Warsaw. Drivers: Candace M. May, 28, Lake Street, Warsaw; and J. T. Edsall, 66, Barrington Place, Warsaw. May turned in front of Edsall causing a collision. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Dec. 20, 12:18 p.m. US 30 near Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Scott A. Wiegman, 57, Goshen Road, Fort Wayne. Wiegman’s truck pulled to the left causing the vehicle to strike the concrete wall at the median. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Dec. 20, 10:18 a.m. Detroit Street near Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: James R. Roach, 62, Beaver Dam Road, Claypool; and Arron M. Brown, 27, Clark Street, Warsaw. Roach attempted a turn at the intersection causing a collision with Brown. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Dec. 20, 7:14 a.m. Center Street near Taft Street, Warsaw. Driver: Michelle M. Warrix, 36, 550 West, Columbia City. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $2,500
