Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Thursday, Dec. 19, 10:16 a.m. North Syracuse Webster Rd., North Webster. Driver: Britany J. Scheid, 18, EMS W23, North Webster. Scheid was northbound on Syracuse Webster Road when she lost control and drove into wet snow on the side of the road. The vehicle slid into a power pole, snapping it, and then rolled and landed on it’s wheels. The passenger, Brendon Scheid, 16, was ejected from the car. Both Britany and Brendon had complaints of pain with Britany complaining of elbow/lower arm pain and Brendon complaining of head/face pains. Both were checked by EMS personnel at the scene and were escorted by their mother to the hospital for medical treatment. Damages: up to $10,000
Thursday, Dec. 19, 6:40 a.m. West 200 South, Mentone. Drivers: Rocio Casasola, 43, West 250 South, Warsaw; Jenifer Gast, 60, Pine St., Akron. Casasola was westbound on CR 200 South and Gast was eastbound on CR 200 South when, due to the snow, the drivers were able to get over far enough to avoid a head on collision. Damages: up to $10,000
