Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Monday, Dec. 9, 11:51 p.m. 408 N. Detroit St., Warsaw. Driver: Brian T. Hupp, 48, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Hupp, a Warsaw police officer who was on duty at the time of the accident, reported he was checking building security at Penguin Point when he struck a post in a snow covered parking lot/driveway area as he rounded the building. Damage was sustained to the driver’s side door mirror, driver’s side front door and rear door. Damages: up to $5,000

Monday, Dec. 9, 8 a.m. County Road 225 South and Cost A Plenty Road, Warsaw. Driver: Logan A. Stahley, 16, East 350 South, Pierceton. Stahley was westbound on 225 South at Cost A Plenty Road when he slid on the snow covered roadway and struck a fence, support pole and junction box. Damages: up to $5,000

Monday, Dec. 9, 7:19 a.m. East 300 North and North 300 East, Warsaw. Driver: Jeremy R. Lee, 16, East 300 North and North 400 East, Warsaw. Lee was attempting a stop at the East 300 North and North 400 East intersection when he slid off the roadway into a stop sign. Damages: under $750

Monday, Dec. 9, 6:51 a.m. North 800 West and West 640 North, Etna Green. Driver: Peggy A. Timbers, 62, West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. An unknown driver, who did not stop after the crash, was traveling west while Timbers was traveling east on CR 640 North. According to Timbers, the unknown driver crossed into Timber’s lane and collided with her mirror. Damages: under $750

Monday, Dec. 9, 6:25 a.m. U.S. 30 and East 200 North, Warsaw. Drivers: Dakota S. Keiper, 19, South Main Street, Etna Green; and Randall T. Shilling, 27, East 300 South, Warsaw. Keiper was eastbound on U.S. 30 when he lost control of his vehicle and slid, passenger side first, into Shilling’s vehicle. Keiper had complaints of back pain as a result of the crash. Damages: up to $10,000

Monday, Dec. 9, 6:06 a.m. 804 S. Higbee St., Milford. Drivers: Keshia R. Hurd, 20, Pierceton; and Sharon Stewart, Leesburg. While attempting to park on a private driveway, Hurd’s vehicle slid into Stewart’s parked vehicle causing minor damages. Damages: up to $1,000

Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Tuesday, Dec. 10, 7:21 a.m. East U.S. 30 and North 150 West. Drivers: Adam T. Doyle, 35, West North Street, Bremen; and Korissa R. Oneil, 21, West Mulberry Street, South Whitley. Doyle was eastbound on U.S. 30 behind Oneil when he rear-ended Oneil’s vehicle at a traffic light. Damages: up to $2,500

Monday, Dec. 9, 8:23 a.m. 200 Sophie Ln. Drivers: Ruth A. Guffey, 56, East Washington Road, Pierceton; and Terra L. Heisler, 26, Sophie Lane, Warsaw. Both drivers were traveling in the Canterbury Apartment complex when Guffey backed out of her parking space into Heisler’s oncoming vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000

Monday, Dec. 9, 7:20 am. East Smith and Geneva streets. Drivers: Caleb J. Hatfield, 24, Husky Trail, Warsaw; and Amy L. Beller, 36, Ivywood Drive, Warsaw. Both Hatfield and Beller were driving west on East Smith Street when Hatfield’s vehicle slid into Beller’s, which was stopped at a stop sign. Beller advised that her son had a complaint of pain in his neck but declined medical treatment at the scene. Damages: up to $5,000

Winona Lake Police Department
Officers of the Winona Lake Police Department recently investigated the following accident:

Monday, Dec. 9, 7:30 p.m. Pierceton Road and CR 250. Driver: William Stephenson Jr., 58, East Prestwick Road, Winona Lake. Stephenson was traveling west on Pierceton Road when a deer entered the road way. Stephenson was able to avoid the deer, but struck a tree laying along the ditch. Damages: up to $10,000
