Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

4:32 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, South Packerton Road, south of CR 550S, Warsaw. Driver: Steven N. Conley, 70, South County Farm Road, Claypool. Conley’s vehicle struck a vehicle sitting in the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

7:35 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, South CR 600W, south of South SR 25, Mentone. Driver: Efrain J. Rodriguez, 21, South Circle Drive, Warsaw. Rodriguez failed to negotiate a curve in his vehicle, going into a yard and hitting a truck cap sitting in the yard. His vehicle then struck and broke a utility pole, continuing on and sideswiping a vehicle parked in the driveway before crashing into a garage. He was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The garage, truck cap and parked vehicle are registered to Harry J. Meadows, South CR 600W, Mentone. Damage up to $25,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

2:12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, Argonne Road and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Clint O. Bischoff, 23, North Mill Street, North Manchester, and Jennifer L. Mann, 45, Bibler Avenue, Winona Lake. Bischoff’s vehicle struck the back of the Mann vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

1:44 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Bettina Beson, 58, Hartzer Street, South Bend. She backed the semitrailer into a private drive, hitting a NIPSCO pole, snapping the pole off at the base. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

2:25 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, South Syracuse-Webster Road south of West Railroad Avenue, Syracuse. Driver: Elizabeth A. Stevens, 49, Hillside Drive, Syracuse. The unnamed driver of a USF Holland Inc., semitractor/trailer attempted to make a left hand turn and as he was making a left turn the back left tire on the trailer swiped the front of the Stevens vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
