A motorcyclist escaped injury after crashing east of Silver Lake.

SILVER LAKE — Emergency personnel are currently responding to an accident located in the area of SR 14, east of Silver Lake.
According to officials at the scene, the driver of a motorcycle crashed into a grassy ditch after striking a bird. Thanks to a soft landing area and wearing a helmet, the driver escaped injury.
