Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
4:36 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, East South Street, west of North Old SR 15, Milford. Drivers: Myrtle R. Mullins, 67, East LaPointe Drive., Milford, and Debbie L. Henson, 59, East South Street, Milford. Mullins was backing out of a driveway and struck the Henson vehicle which had been backed out of a driveway and was proceeding down the road. Damage up to $5,000.
3:4 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, West CR 1050N and North CR 500W, Nappanee. Driver: Kim J. McCallum, 45, SR 10, Bourbon. McCallum’s medical boot brace became caught under the brake as she was approaching a stop sign, causing her to go off the road. The vehicle then rolled over. Damage up to $10,000.
10:28 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, SR 19, north of West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Ryan K. Williams, 56, Octorora Place Northeast, Leesburg, Va. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:41 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, South First Street, Pierceton. Driver: Matthew Pickelheimer, 27, Trier Road, Fort Wayne. Pickelheimer began backing from a parking space and failed to see a parked vehicle registered to Paul K. Stephens, Pierceton. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:03 a.m. Thursday, July 23, Lake City Highway, north of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Driver: Cing L. Piang, 35, Tom Chapman Boulevard, Warner Robins, Ga. Piang was turning westbound onto Lake City Highway when his vehicle struck a large pot hole, causing his tire to blow out. There was extensive undercarriage damage. Damage up to $10,000.
12:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, Glad Street, Warsaw. Driver: Hudson T. Snyder, 17, Glad Street, Warsaw. Snyder was backing from his drive and hit a parked vehicle registered to Kimberly J. Long, South CR 900W, Etna Green. Damage up to $2,500.
12:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ashleigh R. Friedrich, 18, South SR 13, Pierceton, and Gary L. Hobbs, 52, Fritz Road, Fort Wayne. Friedrich backed a large van from a parking space, hitting a parked vehicle behind her. Damage up to $2,500.
