The following persons were recently sentenced in a Kosciusko County Court to serve jail time:

June 16

  • Alyssa Nicole Gross, 30, 606 E. Steele Drive, Syracuse, sentenced for theft. She was sentenced to 365 days in the Kosciusko County Jail with 345 days suspended to be served on probation, with the balance of 20 days served in the county jail. Fines, court costs, probation fees were assessed.

June 15

  • Dekota Allen Holbrook, 18, 920 Anchorage Road, Warsaw, sentenced for burglary. He was sentenced to three years to the Indiana Department of Corrections, with 2 1/2 years suspended to be served on probation, with the court having no objection to the remainder of the term being served on work release.
  • Daniel Kurtis Parks, 35, 8818 Branstrator Road, Fort Wayne, sentenced on two counts of  intimidation. On the first count he was sentenced to four years in the IDOC with credit for 83 days, on the second count he was sentenced to 1 1/2 years to be served concurrently with the first count. The remaining counts were suspended. The court suspended two years of the sentence to be served on probation.

June 14

  • Christina N. Bartley, 28, 104 S. Church St., Claypool, sentenced for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Received a 90-day driver’s license suspension consecutive to the administrative suspension for breath test refusal, sentenced to 60 days in jail with 50 days suspended with the balance of 10 days to be served and and placed on probation for 365 days.
  • Chelsea Marie Maule, 25, 9019 E. Koher Road South, Syracuse, sentenced for OWI. She received a 55-day driver’s license suspension, sentenced to 60 days in the county jail with 55 days suspended upon conditions set by the court, with the remaining five days to be served in jail.

June 12

  • Valeria Nicole Brewer, 29, 641 Walter Way East, Warsaw, sentenced for OWI. She was sentenced to 365 days with 359 days suspended to be served on probation. She was ordered to execute 122 hours of incarceration starting June 12 and ending June 15. Fines, costs, probation fees were assessed.
  • Clay Verner Trammel, 27, 5182 E Bayview Drive, Syracuse, sentenced for OWI. He received a 90-day driver’s license suspension, sentenced to 365 days in the county jail with 260 days suspended upon conditions set by the court, with the balance of five days served in jail.
  • Steven Sean Lowrance, 28, 202 Roy St., Winona Lake, sentenced for OWI. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with 359 days suspended upon conditions set by the court with the balance of six days executed in the county jail.
  • Bryan Patrick Shepler, 26, 1692 E 200N, Warsaw, sentenced for OWI. He was sentenced for 365 days to the county jail with 359 days suspended upon conditions set by the court. The balance of six days will be executed in the county jail.
  • Saul Cuautle, 27, 1962 E 200N, Warsaw, sentenced for OWI. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with 359 days suspended upon conditions set by the court, with the balance of six days are to be executed starting at 7 p.m. June 12. A charge of operating a vehicle without ever having had a valid license was dismissed.
  • William Corey Southall, 31, 340 E. Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, sentenced for probation violation. He was ordered to serve six days in the county jail on weekends between June 12 and June 28.
  • Meagan Ashlynn Martens, 26, 3985 N. Meadow Ridge Drive, Warsaw, sentenced for failure to comply. Ordered to spend one night in the Kosciusko County Jail, attend community support group meetings,
  • James Robert Powers, 42, 2646 Alpine Fir Lane, Elkhart, sentenced for OWI – schedule I, II controlled substance. His driver’s license was suspended for 180 days, and sentenced to 60 days in the county jail, with 55 days suspended upon conditions set by the court, with the balance of five days to be served in the county jail.
  • Juan Aurelio Martinez, 19, 309 S. High St., Warsaw, sentenced for OWI. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and he was sentenced to 60 days in the county jail with 54 days suspended upon conditions set by the court. The balance of six days were ordered served in jail.
  • Lesa Kay Jefferson, 53, 920 Anchorage Road, Warsaw, sentenced for OWI. Her driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, retroactive to the date of the probable cause finding, and she was sentenced to 365 days in the county jail with 357 days suspended upon conditions set by the court. The balance of eight days are to be served June 5-7, and June 12 until the conclusion of the sentence.

June 11

  • John Boyle, 49, 8095 S. County Farm Road, Claypool, sentenced for OWI. He was sentenced to 60 days in the county jail with 40 days suspended upon condition set by the court, with the balance of 20 days is to be served in the Kosciusko County Jail. He also received a license suspension for 180 days, retroactive to the date of the probable cause finding. Fines and costs were assessed.
  • Steven Craig Printz, 65, 404 E. Pickwick Drive, Syracuse, sentenced for OWI with prior. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, retroactive to Aug. 7, 2014; and sentenced to 2 1/2 years in the county jail with 1 1/2 years suspended, to be served on probation; and serve the remaining one year in jail.

June 10

  • Terry Eugene Powell, 51, 718 E. 1250N, Milford, sentenced on three charges of OWI with a BAC equal to or grater than .15. On one charge of OWI he received a 90 day driver’s license suspension, and sentenced to the county jail for 60 days, with no objection to participation in the work release program. Charges of possession of marijuana and OWI with a controlled substance were dismissed. On the second charge of operating with a specified amount of alcohol in the body, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail to be served consecutive with the first charge. On the third charge of OWI he received a two year driver’s license suspension and ordered to serve 365 days, consecutive to the other to charges, with 185 days suspended and placed on probation, with the balance of 180 days served in the county jail, with no objection to participation in the work release program.
  • Arthur Lamar Craig, 38, 2721 Deerskin Trail, South Bend, sentenced for theft – receiving stolen property and failure to appear. On the theft charge he was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections for one year, with 119 days credit. On the failure to appear charge he was sentenced to one year in the IDOC with 119 days credit, to be served consecutively with the theft charge. The court has no objection to participation in the Work Release Program.

June 9

  • Kristi Jo Arnett, 48, 793 Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw, sentenced for OWI. She was given a 180 day driver’s license suspension retroactive to the date of the probable cause finding, sentenced to 365 days in the county jail with 356 days suspended to be served on probation., with the balance of nine jails to be served between June 5-7, and Sept 11 until the balance of the sentence is served.
  • Chad Michael Wolf, 25, 201 N. Franklin St., Mentone, sentenced for probation violation. He was ordered to serve the original incarceration term of 240 days.

June 8

  • William LeRoy Medley Jr., 34, 9132 N. Koher Road East, Syracuse, sentenced for OWI and possession of a controlled substance. He was given a 180-day driver’s license suspension retroactive to Oct. 29, 2014, sentenced to one year in the county jail on Count 1 and incarcerated for one year, with one year of that period suspended for Count II to run consecutively to each other, with the remainder served on probation, with no objection by the courts for the term to be served on work release.
  • Erasmo Montelongo-Hernandez, 68, 10 W. SR 25, Mentone, sentenced for OWI with a back equal to or greater than .15. His driver’s license was suspended for 180 days, retroactive to the date of the probable cause finding, sentenced to 365 days in jail with 356 days suspended upon the conditions set by the court with the balance of nine days to be served between June 8-10 and June 15 until the conclusion of the sentence.

June 5

  • James Lynn Metzger, 58, 4778 E 1200S, Claypool, sentenced for OWI. He was given a 90-day license suspension, ordered to serve 365 days in the county jail with 359 days suspended upon the condition set by the courts with the balance of the six days are to be served in the county jail. Charges of operating a vehicle in a manner that endangers a person and failure to comply with HM regulations were dismissed.

June 4

  • John Paul Bird, 21, 3590 E. 510N, Warsaw, sentenced for OWI and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body and possession of marijuana. On the OWI charge he was sentenced to serve 365 days in the county jail, to run consecutively to the charge of operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body and possession of marijuana, with 353 days suspended to be served on probation. The balance of 12 days in jail are to be served consecutive to a sentence imposed in another case. Fines, costs, probation fees were assessed. On the operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body, he was given a 90-day license suspension and ordered to serve 60 days in the county jail with 54 days suspended upon the condition he pay restitution. The balance of the six days were ordered served in the county jail. On the possession of marijuana charge he was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail to run concurrent to the first count, with 174 days suspended, with the balance of 6 days served in the county jail to run concurrent with the first count.

June 3

  • Brandy Lynn Rensberger, 37, 6047 E US 20, Pierceton, sentenced for OWI with a BAC equal to or greater than .15. Her driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, retroactive to the date of the probable cause finding, was sentenced to 365 days int he county jail with 359 days suspended upon the condition she pay all fines and costs assessed, submit to a substance abuse evaluation, and participate in the Victim’s Impact Panel. The balance of six days of the sentence are to be served in the county jail.

May 28

  • Cody William Obacz, 21, 29 EMS D18 Lane A, Syracuse, sentenced for probation violation on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was ordered to serve 60 days in the county jail.
