Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

5:30 a.m. Sunday, May 3, South SR 13 and East CR 550S, Pierceton. Driver: Jeffrey P. Snover, 52, North CR 325E, North Manchester. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.

11:39 p.m. Friday, May 1, South Beaver Dam Road, south of South CR 700W, Burket. Driver: Mark D. Shepherd, 18, West Wood Duck Drive, Mentone. Shepherd was traveling north on CR 700W when his vehicle went off the east side of the road. He over corrected, causing him to loose control. The vehicle struck a utility pole, overturned multiple times and hit a house at 6354 S. CR 700W, Claypool. He suffered a small laceration to the arm but refused medical treatment. Damage up to $25,000.

9:19 p.m. Friday, May 1, West CR 600S, north of South CR 100W, Mentone. Driver: Kari J. Thompson, 29, West CR 900S, Akron. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

11:45 p.m. Monday, May 4, Enterprise Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Deanna L. Emmons, 47, East CR 300S, Akron. Emmons struck a parked vehicle registered to Laura Read, as she was backing from a parking space. Damage up to $2,500

9:26 p.m. Monday, May 4, East Main Street and North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Julie C. White, 48, Hawthorn Road, Plymouth, and Teresa L. Sloderbeck, 53, West Market Street, Warsaw. White’s vehicle struck the Sloderbeck vehicle in the intersection. Damage up to $10,000.

8:35 p.m. Monday, May 4, Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: George M. Siddons, 48, Madden Road, Churubusco, and Arianna E. Rossi, 23, West Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw.  A parked semitractor/trailer obstructed the view of Siddons pulling out onto Commerce Drive, causing him to fail to see the Rossi vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

6:25 p.m. Monday, May 4, South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Arthur C. Burnam, 57, Superior Avenue, Fairbon, Ohio. Burnam had used the drive-thru access to make a delivery. When leaving the semitrailer swiped the southwest corner of the building, the top of the trailer struck the Rally’s sign and the left tires ran over a light pole. damage up to $50,000.

2:20 p.m. Monday, South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Justin H. Mickem, 33, North Blaine Street, North Webster. Mickem lost control of his moped on loose gravel. He went to the emergency room to have his right knee checked. Damage under $750.
