Area Accident Reports

Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

4:38 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, East CR 450N, west of Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Kenneth J. Graff, 20, North CR 925E, North Webster, and Zachary T. Shepler, 20, EMS B42A Lane, Leesburg. Graff was cited for driving while suspended. Graff’s vehicle struck the back of the Shepler vehicle. Raquel A. Tucker, 20, North CR 100E, Warsaw, a passenger in Shepler’s vehicle complained of pain and sought medical treatment on her own. Damage up to $10,000.

1:47 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, East CR 450N, west of Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Diana M. Kamberg, 81, EMS B37 Lane, Warsaw, and Dianna K. Allen, 50, North Sawgrass Lane, Leesburg. Kamberg was eastbound on CR 450N and Allen was westbound on CR 450N and due to white-out conditions with zero visibility collided head-on. Damage up to $10,000.

Milford

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:

2:09 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, North SR 15 and West CR 1350N, Milford. Driver: Carlin J. Yoder, 41, SR 13, Middlebury, and unknown vehicle. Yoder slowed in traffic due to blizzard conditions when his vehicle was bumped by the unknown driver. The other vehicle went off the road into a field. The driver told Yoder she had no insurance and left the scene. Yoder moved to a safer location after nearly being hit a second time. The driver of the unknown vehicle never contacted police to report the information. Damage up to $1,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

1:42 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, East CR 200N, west of North Boeing Road, Warsaw. Driver: Chanda L. Rodriguez, 35, East US 30, Pierceton, and Larry R. Carlson, 54, River Avenue East, Warsaw. Rodriguez’s vehicle struck the back of the Carlson’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

1:53 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, East Old Road 30 and South CR 600E, Pierceton. Drivers: Shasha M. Foyle, 39, North CR 900, Cromwell, and Sheila M. Tanner, 47, South Eighth Street, Goshen. Foyle did not see the Tanner vehicle stopped in the roadway due to white out conditions, sideswiping the vehicle before going across the road and hitting a concrete and steel fence post. Tanner complained of leg pain but refused treatment. Damage up to $5,000.
