Accidents
Syracuse Police Officers investigated the following accidents:
Saturday, 10:07 a.m. South Huntington Street, south of Railroad Avenue. Driver: Michael L. Griewank, 55, LaGrange. Griewank was driving a vehicle pulling a concession trailer over the railroad tracks when the trailer became unhitched from the vehicle. The trailer continued off the road, hitting the sidewalk and a highway sign causing the top of the trailer, constructed of wood, to fall off. Damages: up to $2,500
Thursday, July 18, 12:10 p.m. CR 1200 North and CR 375 East. Driver: Susan Martin, 54, East Rookstool Road, Syracuse. Deer struck vehicle and then hit two mailboxes. Damages: up to $10,000
Wednesday, July 17, 2:30 p.m. Parking lot at Northern Lakes Family Medicine, South Huntington Street. Owner: John Kratzer, East Country Cove Drive, Syracuse, reported while his vehicle was parked, it was struck by another vehicle, which left the scene. Damages: up to $2,500
Wednesday, July 17, 10:06 a.m. East Pickwick and South Huntington. Drivers: Andrew Morris, 19, Fishers; and Thomas White 75, West Hillside Drive, Syracuse. Morris missed his turn and was backing to make the turn failing to see White who had driven his vehicle onto the road causing the two vehicles to collide. Damages: up to $10,000
Incidents
Syracuse Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
- Sunday, 11:30 p.m. David Akridge, East Palm Drive, Syracuse, reported someone entered his garage and removed a specialized bicycle. Value: $500
- Sunday, 1:48 a.m. Cody Hensley, North CR 900W, Cromwell, reported a window and size mirror broken on his vehicle while parked at North Huntington and Main streets. Damages: up to $500
- Sunday, July 21, 6:07 p.m. Alica Coday, Syracuse, reported a battery, which occurred on West Brooklyn Street.
- Friday, July 19, 1:33 p.m. Norma Hassell, EMS B48 Lane, Warsaw, reported her vehicle was struck by another vehicle, which left the scene. No further details available.
Arrests
Syracuse Police Officers made the following arrests:
Sunday, 3:45 a.m. Andrew Custer, 25, East Northshore Drive, Syracuse, was arrested for criminal mischief. Bond: $500. Robert Marshall, Winonah Drive, Syracuse, reported damage to his vehicle at North Long Drive and Northshore Drive. During the investigation, Custer was located.
Sunday, 12:34 a.m. Justin F. Plank, 36, East Northshore Drive, Syracuse, arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, per se and intimidation. Bond: $550. Police stopped Plank at Harkless and Palm drives after disregarding two stop signs.
Tuesday, July 22, 6:32 p.m. Ginger L. Tucker, 46, Mill Run Road, Fort Wayne, was charged with battery. Bond: $500. Police were called to a residence on Meadow View Drive, Syracuse, for a domestic dispute.
