Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, North SR 13, south of East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Austin M. Williams, 19, East CR 250N, Pierceton. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
7:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, South SR 13, south of East CR 1250S, Warsaw. Driver: Tyler W. Palmer, 21, West CR 200N, Columbia City. Palmer swerved to miss a deer, went off the roadway and hit a pole. He was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:44 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, US 30, west of East Van Ness Road, Warsaw Driver: Kevin W. Scheil, 42, Stag Drive, Warsaw. Scheil was westbound on US 30 and noticed an animal in the roadway. He did not feel any unusual movement in the vehicle and continued to his residence. When he arrived at residence he observed damage to the front left of the vehicle and contacted Warsaw Police. Damage up to $1,000.
4:25 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, North Warren Street, Warsaw. Driver: Sherry Michl, 32, North 1150th Street, Robinson, Ill. Michl was backing from a parking spot and struck a parked vehicle registered to Aaron R. Clevenger. Damage up to $2,500.
12:43 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, Frontage Road. Drivers: Harry J. Wood, 62, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw and Havilah A. Skeans, 32, Kelly Street, Winona Lake. Wood and Skeans both backed their vehicles from respective parking spaces at the same time, colliding. Damage up to $2,500.
