Kane Edward Hively
UPDATE: Kane Edward Hively, 27, of Warsaw, has been arrested as related to an earlier press release issued by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
Hively turned himself into the Kosciusko County Jail today shortly after 12 p.m. and was preliminarily arrested on felony charges of dealing methamphetamine and fleeing/resisting law enforcement. He is being held on a $9,000 bond.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Initial Report: Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officers have arrested two individuals this week on meth related charges. A warrant has been issued for a third individual.
Last night Kosciusko County Drug Task Force members were contacted, after Mentone officers approached a residence near SR 19 and CR 200S. Officers detected the odor associated with the production of methamphetamine.
The homeowner returned shortly afterwards, identified as Billy Laurance Baldridge, 41, Mentone. He was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine. A meth lab was located inside the home.
Baldridge is being held on $4,000 bond.
Deputies responded at 3:42 a.m. Monday to the area of CR 450N and Brown Road, Warsaw, in regards to a suspicious vehicle. When police arrived, a male occupant of the vehicle fled on foot, while a passenger was taken into custody.
Nicole Lynn Winstead
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested and preliminarily charged Nicole
Lynn Winstead, 27, Claypool, with felony dealing methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors and manufacturing methamphetamine after locating a portable meth lab inside the vehicle.
Winstead was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant for theft.
Officers were able to determine the identity of the male subject who had fled, as Kane Edward Hively, 27, Warsaw.
Winstead is being held on $5,000.
Officers have obtained an arrest warrant for Hively.
Billy Laurance Baldridge
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team were summoned to both locations to secure the methamphetamine labs.
Along with the Mentone Police Department, officers with the Warsaw Police Narcotic Task Force and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office assisted in the various arrests.
